I was born in Massachusetts in 1972. Grew up on Cape Cod in a nice house with well water and no cable. Started singing early, started trumpet at 7, stopped at 8, started drumming at 15 and still love it. Went to college in Richmond, IN from 1990 to 1995, until my bipolar disorder kicked in.  I migrated to California in '98 where I now live.

My occupation started in 1979 when I made some crayon drawings I called "Wall Brighteners" and walked around my neighborhood and knocked on doors. I sold them for between three and five cents (depending on what the adults were willing to pay). My first street performance I got tipped for was singing "The Log-Driver's Waltz" on the streets of Santa Cruz. I once got $5 for a particularly stirring hand drumming performance.  I like to make comics and give away copies, but I think I may have sold one once.

I've worked in a bookstore and a couple of fast food places, I sold newspapers on a street corner, I've done some painting and a bit of construction, and once filled in as the manager of a food co-op so the real manager could take a well deserved vacation.  Because of my bipolar crap, it's been a long time since I've had a paying job, but that will change at some point in the future.   

my hobbies include eating, sleeping, walking, dancing, drawing, painting, writing, crafting, wandering, learning and teaching.  I've also made it a hobby to try and sound less pretentious when I fill out online profiles, but I'm not very good at it yet.
